7th Graders will be focusing on colonial unrest and the lead up to the Declaration of Independence. We will be having our own "Boston Tea Party"
Students will use these sources to complete an interactive notebook page. Prezi , Townshend Acts , Stamp and Sugar Acts , Intolerable Acts.
8th Graders will be starting our unit on American Imperialism. We will begin by analyzing the Spanish American War. When the USS Maine exploded in Havana Harbor, triggering the Spanish-American War, the New York Times and the New York Journal and Advertiser published conflicting articles about what caused this explosion. 8th graders will read the conflicting accounts and analyze how each uses evidence to support its claims. Finally, students will use their analyses to decide which account is more believable.
