This week begins the first day of our new unit on Personal narratives. Over the next few weeks the students will learn the steps to drafting a memoir and at the end of the unit they will create a podcast or design a story board of their narratives. This week we will focus on the structure of narratives by plotting the events of two mentor text using Common Lit. 'Little Things Are Big' and 'The Terror'. These stories will help us learn more about how to write a personal narrative.
Here are the standards for the week:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.7.3

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.7.2
