During this short week students will continue to focus on the structure of personal narratives by listening to memoirs presented orally and in a performance style. This will help the students learn the steps to drafting a memoir and at the end of the unit they will create a podcast(oral version) or design a story board of their narratives. By Tuesday students will have chosen a topic and brainstormed different ideas for their personal narratives.
Here are the standards for the week:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.7.2
Analyze the main ideas and supporting details presented in diverse media and formats (e.g., visually, quantitatively, orally) and explain how the ideas clarify a topic, text, or issue under study.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.7.5
With some guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning.
Reminders:
You are invited to join Ray Elementary School for our FIRST EVER Virtual Turkey Trot! Even though we cannot be together in person, we are still a community supporting each other and our students!
