Greetings!
We are moving along with our novels and students are enjoying our class discussions. This week 7th and 8th grade will work on double entry journals while reading. For Warriors Don't Cry we will make connections between our text and Choices, by Nikki Giovanni. 7th graders will also identify themes related to quotes found in the chapters. 8th grade will select scenes in the book and compare it to the poem Harlem, by Langston Hughes.
Standards for the week:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL
